Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect

InnerLAB only receives information a visitor chooses to send. Browsing the site does not require an account, and the site does not ask for personal information anywhere except the two forms below.

Contact form

The contact form collects your name, company, email address, an optional phone number, the topic you select, and the message you write. This inquiry is sent to InnerLAB by email. It is not saved to a database and is not published anywhere on the website.

Message board

The message board form collects your name, your organization, your role or title, your email address, your message, and your choice about whether your organization may be shown alongside your message.

Contact inquiries are private. Message board submissions are intended for publication and may become publicly visible once reviewed. The two are handled differently throughout this policy.

2. How We Use Information

• To respond to inquiries and follow up about training, auditing, mentoring, or technical support.
• To review and moderate message board submissions before anything is published.
• To operate, maintain, and secure the website.
• To detect and prevent spam, abuse, and automated submissions.

Information sent to InnerLAB is not sold or rented, and is not shared with anyone for advertising or marketing. InnerLAB does not run an advertising programme and does not build marketing profiles from website visitors.

3. Public Message Board

Every message board submission is held for review. Nothing is published automatically, and submitting a message does not guarantee that it will appear.

If a submission is approved, the published entry shows:

• the name you provided;
• your message;
• the date it was submitted;
• your role or title, and your organization only if you gave permission for it to be shown.

Your email address is never displayed on the public message board. It is collected only so InnerLAB can contact you about your submission if that becomes necessary.

Anything published on the message board can be read by anyone. Please do not submit confidential, proprietary, sensitive, customer-identifying, or export-controlled information in a public message. If the subject is not suitable for publication, use the contact form or email instead.

4. Security and Abuse Prevention

To keep the message board usable and to stop automated posting, the site applies a small number of technical checks when a message is submitted. As part of this:

• The network (IP) address a message was submitted from is stored with that submission so abuse can be investigated. It is never displayed publicly.
• A one-way, irreversible fingerprint of that address is held briefly, and discarded automatically within about an hour, purely to limit how many messages can be sent in a short period.
• The form carries checks designed to distinguish a person completing it from software submitting it automatically.

The specific thresholds and checks are deliberately not described here, because publishing them would make them easier to work around.

5. Cookies and Sessions

This website does not use advertising cookies, analytics cookies, or cross-site tracking of any kind.

One essential cookie is used. When you open the message board page, the site sets a session cookie named innerlab_board. It holds only a random token used to confirm that a message was submitted from the form on this site, which protects the form against cross-site request forgery. It contains no personal information and is not used to track you.

A separate session cookie is used only when an administrator signs in to manage the site. It is never set for ordinary visitors.

Every other page on this site can be browsed without any cookie being set.

6. Third-Party Services

The site loads its typeface from Google Fonts. When a page loads, your browser requests the font files directly from Google, and Google receives that request together with your IP address and browser user-agent. No other content, script, or tracker is loaded from a third party.

Contact form messages are delivered by email through the web host’s mail service to an InnerLAB mailbox. As with any website, the hosting provider may keep standard server logs; those logs are controlled by the host rather than by this application.

The site does not use analytics platforms, advertising networks, social media pixels, chat widgets, or embedded third-party media.

7. Data Retention

• Message board submissions, including any that are never approved, remain stored until an InnerLAB administrator deletes them. There is no automatic deletion schedule.
• The short-lived records used for rate limiting are removed automatically, normally within about an hour.
• Contact form inquiries arrive as email, so they remain in InnerLAB’s mailbox for as long as they are useful for correspondence.

8. Your Choices

You can ask what information InnerLAB holds about you, ask for a message board submission to be corrected or removed, or withdraw a submission that has not yet been published. Email lbeene@innerlab.net or call +1 916 599 7510.

Please include the name and approximate date used on the submission so it can be located. InnerLAB is a small consultancy, so requests are handled directly rather than through a formal process.

9. Changes to This Policy

This policy may be updated as the website changes. When it is, the Last Updated date at the top of this page will change to reflect it.
